Shrimp Cocktail



2 pounds jumbo shrimp unshelled with tails

3 cups water
1 stalk celery, sliced
1/4 cup tablespoon lemon juice
1 to 2 tablespoons seafood seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup prepared cocktail sauce

1. Combine shrimp, water, celery, lemon juice, seafood seasoning and salt in a large saucepan. Cover, bring to a boil, and cook until shrimp turn pink, about 5 minutes.
2. To serve, drain shrimp and transfer to large platter. Serve with cocktail sauce.


Cocktail Sauce


  • 6 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons horseradish
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • celery salt to taste
  • tabasco sauce


Shake all ingredients until well mixed.
